Hey, i found this really great private server recently and you get to have GM commands. It's pretty cool. Here's the link to a thread explaining how to connect and the foum link. Oh you need something called Hamachi too
So basically you download hamachi, install, load it up. Click on the power button. Then click on the gear symbol and click preferences. Click change nickname and then choose a nickname. Then click the triangle thingy. Choose "Join an existing network." Then on the first line enter "FallenCitY" and the password (second line) is 12345. If it says the network is full, use FallenCitY2, 3, 4,.... and so on. Once connected with FallenCitY, Click the registration link, IT WILL ONLY WORK WHEN HAMACHI IS CONNECTED AND A GUY NAME "SLIPANDSLIDE (FallenCitY Owner)" Is on! Sometimes it might not even work for some unknown reasons. Once registered, Make a copy of your GMS V.55 Folder and paste is somewhere else. Rename it FallenCitY and then download the lovalhost and .bat file provided in the Tut link. Then run the .bat file, log in, and ENJOY!
that is where you are DEAD WRONG!!!
PTR players are mostly noobs, who cannot achieve something on the real server.
Maple might be different, but on WoW, most people have no idea how to gear correctly at all.
I still say that PTR is for people that cannot L2P on the real server and lvl like normal people, actually take time to put some effort into making their character strong and powerful.
I think that on private servers you lose that competition feel, the importance of your actions, the feel of your supremacy... It's like a World Cup versus some local championship with less strict rules. I'd rather stick to the official servers, thanks. For me it's the only way to feel that you have really achieved something in that game. But for those people who just want to explore every aspect of the game without putting their time and effort into it, then, I guess, private server is a good option.

I agree with some of that Toff, but like I said, for WoW, on a private server, you can still do everything, while in maple there are still limits.
