Replacing DS Phat casing

My old DS is a wreck- both hinges are barely hanging on. That's why I'm going to get a new casing and some screwdrivers and try to give it a face lift. If I'm successful, then I'll try to replace the top screen of my LS lite next
Does anyone have any experience, or links to tutorials? I can't seem to find any...
Any and all help appreciated!

It's easy to find a shell replacement to buy, just look for official ones.
