NIU (Northern Illinois University) Shooting

This may not be a joke or something else funny, but I'm putting this here not for some random reasons. This post is all about the 17 victims (2 of which are my friends) who were shot during this shooting. All are injured, the shooter killed himself. These people deserve to live, nobody has the right to take away their lives just because they were dumped on Valentine's Day. Please, pray for my friends and all the other victims and the people that have been morally scarred. If you don't care, then just don't post anything negative about this.

This is a truly sad time for me, my 2 friends whom I've known for a long time, are in the hospital. I just hope they both pull through. T^T

EDIT: Thanks for the thoughts guys, and my friends will be alright, one of them is coming home within this next week, the other is gonna be hospitalized for a few weeks to recover. And I agree with you all, the government SHOULD do something about the NRA letting people get their hands on guns and sell them to psychos. In the hopes of all the people, I hope that this doesn't keep happening, and I hope that the next president actually does something to stop all this nonsense!

P.S. Thank you Toff for adding the Off-Topic section, I posted it in the Fun-Zone because it was like an Off-Topic forum for me at the time. Thank you all and I hope you are all safe from harm. =)

Another shooting, Jesus... I really hope your friends will be okay. Kinda hard to find words to comment on this. Hold on there.

And my opinion on that event. When will US politics review the laws about availability of weapons, %$@&# it? Shotgun... That's close to impossible to get here, and if you do, you'll have to undergo so many psychological testings, analyses, police registrations etc. that they may take a year or more, and not everyone are able pass those tests. I wanted to write "Watch some idiots blame this on violent videogames", but it appears they've already did. Counter-Strike and the kind are to blame, claims our beloved Jack Thompson. Right. Seriously, people, you should beat the sh*t out of your National Rifle Association or whoever makes such things as this shooting possible...

P. S.: We were missing this "Off-topic" forum, so I created it and moved this thread here. Posting about this in Fun Zone is just wrong. I don't really get how people can joke about such things.

I wish the best to your friends. It angers me that we have so much violence in our great country.

In my opinion, it's not the availability of firearms that is the problem. Our culture is just so %$@&# up. Canada as well as many other freeworld countries don't seem to have this big of a problem and arms are available there. We definitely need some tightening of laws to keep them out of the hands of people who have mental problems. Most of all parents need to teach some decent values to their children so they don't turn into crazies.
