I only played DoA 1 for a bit long-long time ago, so I don't know the plot of the series and I don't even know who these characters are. I do like Final Fantasy series, but FFX-2 is far from being my favorite. I can understand if you hate both series, though.
Also, I usually don't like fan submissions because they sort of ruin the official plots and such for me. Good animation, but it's not really my thing at all.
These videos don't ruin the plot for me, as it's some kind of a dream fight that takes place outside of both series. I also don't really like fan submissions, but what impressed me in this one is the quality of everything. If someone wanted to create a fighting game between DoA and Final Fantasy characters, it must be like this at least. Sadly, the developers are missing directors such as this guy.
P. S.: HD-version of part II is now available (updated the link).

Physics, battle damage, and ammo are overrated amirite? Still cool however.

1) Yuna has really bad aim
2) At the one point, the one girl just went straight through a chain
3) It was good to see Yuna get beat up
4) It's a shame they didn't put Lulu in, but I understand why, cuz she would have just killed everyone and that would have cut it short.

Yuna was always meant to be a summoner, not a sharpshooter. *g*

Ha-ha, probably. But as they said, we haven't seen anything yet, who knows whom we may see in the future.

It took quite some time for Part III to arrive, but it's finally here

(see first post).
The only thing, it's too short and not as mind-blowing as the previous part. But I heard the guy plans to release next episodes almost weekly. Seems he left the tastiest parts for later, so stay tuned.

LMAO! Why not?
Critic review:
Not a huge fan of either game, so I didn't find it as entertaining as some might, but I can appreciate the animation. I just thought the plot felt way too cliche with a fight that would be uneven had the characters been represented correctly and a random person learning to use Materia. It must have taken a long time to make though, since the animation quality was almost at a professional level.
8/10
P.S. - Doesn't Materia go on weapons and armor? I don't think Tifa puts them on/in her body.
