in order to do physics, you must be TAKING Pre-Calculus or have a pre calculus foundation. If not you're screwed. Also Colleges like to see physics being taken.

Wth are you smoking Mike? I only took Algebra 1 before I took physics, I'm not even taking pre-calc yet...

Lolz hey guyzzz

I pretty much went against everyone's advice and took physics anyway, and chose not to continue math senior year. O_O
%$@&# I'm screwed. T^T

It'd be helpful if you told us what you plan to major in after high school. Otherwise, I'd say you should take another math course, Pre-calculus is an excellent way to prepare for college-level maths. I'm a sophomore, so I don't really know how big your workload is, but I'm having a decently easy time juggling Algebra 2 Honors and Physics.
After Algebra 2 is Trigonometry (unless you took it before Algebra 2) then it's pre-calc
Where do you live...? In Fairfax County, they cram Trigonometry into the end of Algebra 2 and the beginning of Pre-Calculus. Also, colleges like to see that you've taken biology, chemistry, and physics.

i just finished ap algebra 2 and i am now taking trig, u have a choice in which math u get after algebra 2.
also i like math so id suggest u take a math class cause u have to for the credits and also,
im in chemistry honors and i think its pretty hard cause im not a science person so...
if your a science and math person take physics, if not then take marine biology or something like that.

Since when is Alg 2 an AP course? WTH?! And Rook, you should have an alg2 basis and be taking Pre-Calc when your taking physics since Physics involes pre-calc. It's easier though if you take Calc while doing physic...or so i hear. Anyways, dropping Math isn't a good idea senior year since if you take regular calculus, it'll be alot easier if your college requires a year of mathematics. Dark, you made a good choice in taking physics, and now you still have a chance at college :D. THE USA EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IS %$@&#! (excuse my language)
