This is a bit off topic, but i was looking up who was the founder of wizet and i stumbled upon this spoof of how ms got its name:
According to some Korean Journals, drinking maple sap has long been a springtime ritual for villagers in S. Korea. Here's what happened...
Two months before Maplestory released in Korea (April 29, 2003), Cody (he's really from wizet!!!) and his team wanted to celebrate a job well done. So, they all went deep into the mountains and hoping to sniff some lonely mushroom spores and get high. Unfortunately, they can't find any lonely ones. All they found were those orange mushrooms and lots of Maple trees and some angry villagers who told them "cc plz". So, they started ks'ng the villagers and after a while they started to talk and finally became friends and joined their guild. As a tradition springtime ritual, the villagers offered them the maple sap (liquor based) and they all get high at the end!! That's their MapleStory.
