I still haven't seen it myself. But this is the anime newer otakus tend to love and search for the Deeper Meaning in it, while more "experienced" otakus claim it is shallow and not deep at all. This is what I usually see in Elfen Lied discussions, at least. I'll watch it at some point anyway to form my own opinion about it. But the main theme is beautiful.

You guys gotta watch it now... I just finished it last night and I want to know what you guys think of the ending and if you got the same ideas about the ending that I did. Apparently the anime ends way different from the manga, and I read a bit about how the manga ends and have to say I like how the anime ends a lot better.
