Hey All,
If you haven't run the msconfig please run it, you have no idea what is running in the background.
You'll see maybe 20 to 30 programs running in the start-up tab. Uncheck(dissable) most of them. This will help with overall speed of computer.
As for MS not running a couple of things:

Sometimes lagging can be caused by too many programs running in the background on your computer.
Try typing "msconfig" in your "run" box and then click on the start up tab. You can unclick most everything there ( if you uncheck something and then discover that u need the program just put the check ...
